Fast Video Compression
Uses FFmpeg’s H.264 encoding to compress video while balancing quality and file size.
Parameters and output
- Supported formats: MP4 / MOV / AVI / MKV
- CRF (0–51): lower values mean higher quality and larger files; the default is 23
- Preset: ultrafast / fast / medium / slow. This affects compression speed and efficiency.
- By default, the output file is saved in the source directory and named
original_filename_shrunk.extension
Steps
- Open Plugin Center and choose “Fast Video Compression”
- Choose the input video file (single file)
- Set the CRF and preset values
- Click Start. After completion, check the source directory for the
_shrunkoutput file

This plugin requires FFmpeg and FFprobe to be available on your system. If they are missing, the plugin will warn you about the dependency.
